Hoops oops
Theodore SlateYou do a wonderful job with BASKETBALL DIGEST, but I have to point out a slip-up in the October 2004 issue. In "The Star Sheet," you called Oscar Robertson "Oscar Robinson." That's no way to treat the point guard on my all-time All-Star team!

You made a grevious error in listing the University of Michigan as the seventh-ranked school in your prediction for the upcoming year in your college preview [October 2004]. I assume you meant Michigan State University. Am I correct?

On your "Quick Quiz" in October 2004 you claim Rashard Lewis was a first round pick. This is false. Lewis was chosen by the Seattle SuperSonics in the second round, with the 32nd pick in the 1998 NBA draft. However, Rashard has performed like a first-rounder, so I understand the mistake.

Correct on all counts, fellas. Indeed, Lewis was a second-rounder despite being selected by the NBA to wait to be drafted in the (first-rounder) "green room." And while our No. 7 write-up is on Michigan State, we did erroneously list Michigan as the country's No. 7 team on our side-bar listing of top 50 teams. As for the Big O, we're pretty sure we got it right this time (see page 20).
