In agreement - Letters
Christopher HillCheers to J. Kevin Kelleher from Minotaur Fine Art Reproductions for the letter to the editor commenting on the letter "Money Talks" [February]. I couldn't agree more that nowadays customer service is interpreted as giving customers anything they want with no regard to one's own self respect just to make the sale. In turn, the egocentric shopper forms an ownership of the store or gallery attitude. How often all of us in the industry have seen people come in and pay no heed to their screaming kids, have touchy fingers or blindly bring in food and drink. Whatever happened to not touching what is not yours? Indeed, Kelleher hits it right on the head again when he describes the dumbing down and lowering of standards.
