Prize job for Lotto loser Tott
STEPHEN MARTINLOTTERY loser Martyn Tott has got a new job - as frontman for a rival game to Camelot's.
Martyn, 35, will be a "goodwill ambassador" for My Numbers which will be launched by pools firm Vernons later this month.
Like the Lottery, people select six numbers between 1 and 49. But while Camelot pays pounds 69 on average for four numbers, Vernons will pay pounds 7,000. For five they will pay pounds 100,000 instead of pounds 1,842.
The payouts are bigger because no one can choose the same set of numbers.
The game will be only on the internet at first, but Vernons hope to get it into High Street stores.
Martyn, from Watford, say he will use his fee for his fight for a pounds 3.1million jackpot. Camelot refused to pay Martin and wife Kay - now separated - because of a deadline over lost tickets.
"The beauty of Vernons' lottery is they contact you when you have won, so what happened to me couldn't happen," he said.
