Kathy Leferink has joined the staff at Empire Insurance in Coeur d'Alene. Leferink, a graduate of the College of Great Falls, was previously self-employed in the restaurant business. Dr. Daniel Stoop has joined Riverside Medical Clinic in Chattaroy and Holy Family Hospital's active medical staff. Stoop received his medical degree in 1992 from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed a residency at Family Medicine Spokane.
Jack Nomanson, previously with ERA Sno-Valley Realty, has joined Windermere Real Estate's Coeur d'Alene office as a sales associate. Nomanson spent 32 years with The Boeing Co.

Bill Cuddney is a 17-year real estate veteran.

Windermere Real Estate's Spokane-North Wall Street office has hired Debbie Harvey as a sales associate. Harvey has worked in the real estate industry, an attorney's office and in retail.
Moving up:
DeeGee Squires was promoted to director of operations for Coeur d'Alene-based Hanna and Associates Inc. Squires, who has more than 20 years of graphic production experience, is responsible for overseeing the agency's production, media and traffic departments.
Jacklin Seed Co., Post Falls, announced the following promotions:
Hiromi Yanagisawa, formerly vice president of international marketing, is now vice president, managing director of marketing. He will have overall managing responsibilities for domestic and international marketing. Yanagisawa has been with Jacklin since 1983.
Rick Dunham was promoted to vice president-marketing. He is responsible for personnel administration and will coordinate Jacklin's seed production and marketing supply. Dunham, formerly assistant vice president-marketing, joined Jacklin in 1983.
Gayle Jacklin, assistant vice president-marketing, was named project leader for new market development. Jacklin will conduct an indepth analysis of the company's current market coverage and distributors and will make recommendations to develop and fill areas of weakness for further expansion of the company's marketing.
Columbia Lighting has promoted Mark Johnson to regional sales manager. Johnson, who holds an MBA from the University of Washington, previously was marketing manager.
Martin Werr was named Columbia Lighting's marketing manager. Werr joined the company in 1987.
Washington Water Power has named the following employees regional coordinators:
Anne Marie Axworthy most recently worked as Spokane area manager and a merger employee-transition team leader. Axworthy, who has 17 years of experience with WWP, will be the regional coordinator for the central area, which includes systemwide support of distribution engineering, metering, system maintenance programs and information support.
Randy Cloward is a 21-year WWP veteran and served as the Spokane construction manager prior to being named regional coordinator for the south and east areas. Cloward will be responsible for construction and customer services in Pullman/Moscow, Lewiston, Coeur d'Alene, Kellogg/St. Maries, Sandpoint and Grangeville, Idaho.
Al Fisher, a 17-year WWP employee and recent corporate redesign leader, will be the regional coordinator for the Spokane and west areas, which include construction and customer services in Spokane, Deer Park, Colville, Chewelah, Othello, Davenport, Cheney and Medical Lake.
Gerry Crooks will be the marketing regional coordinator, which includes all core marketing sales, economic development and demandside management (energy conservation/ energy management) activities. Crooks, formerly manager of marketing, has been with WWP for 17 years.
Scott Morris, a 14-year WWP employee, was general manager for the company's WP Natural Gas operating division, and will become the WP Natural Gas regional coordinator. WP Natural Gas serves parts of Oregon and the South Lake Tahoe area of California.
Transactions:
Argus Investigations and Argus Systems have merged into one company called Argus Services Inc. The new company provides security and loss prevention services in nine states.
The following changes occurred with the merger: Sheila Leslie, formerly Eastern Washington regional manager of uniformed officers, was promoted to vice president of the uniformed security division.
Dan Murphy, former Eastern Washington regional manager of loss prevention, was promoted to vice president of the loss prevention division.
Dan Oenning was promoted to chief financial officer.
Jim Schoenleber remains owner and president of the company, which is constructing a new corporate office south of its present location in the Valley.
Craven's Coffee a national specialty coffee roaster, has chosen WenDt Advertising to handle its corporate identity, merchandising design, advertising and public relations programs.

Strick's Donuts, 3209 N. Monroe, has closed after more than 40 years in business.
Elected:
Sacred Heart Medical Center Development Fund has elected the following people to the board of trustees: Dr. Arch Logan, a retired physician, president; Joan Gagliardi, a community volunteer, vice president; Sister Ethel Richardson and C.J. "Joe" Legel, will retain their posts as secretary and treasurer, respectively; Evelyn Augustin, a retired school teacher and community volunteer, and Bill Zuppe, president of Sterling Savings Association, have joined the board as new trustees.
The Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education elected the following people to its Advancement Council: Frank Storey, F.H. Storey & Assoc. Inc., council chair; Dennis McLaughlin, Cain & McLaughlin P.S., vice chair; Deborah Hansen, Spokane community leader; William Poppy, executive director Rockwood Clinic; and Richard Umbdenstock, president and CEO Providence Services.
