Dale DeFelice has joined Chase, Hayes & Kalamon as an associate attorney. DeFelice, who graduated from Gonzaga Law School, previously worked as assistant to the city prosecutor. He served as legal adviser to the Spokane Police Department and city regulatory departments, as well as representing community service projects.
Silverwood Theme Park has hired Carol Scott as area sales manager. She will be responsible for group sales to companies and governmental accounts in Idaho, Montana and Canada east of Nelson, British Columbia. Scott previously was a salesperson for Roosevelt Recreational Enterprises in Coulee Dam, program director for NACO West Little Diamond resort in Newport and site director for the Spokane YMCA.
Kimberly Krogh has joined Jan Krogh Insurance Inc. Kimberly Krogh is an accredited risk manager and broker with 10 years of experience in commercial and personal insurance.
Zak Designs Inc., has added three employees to its staff:
Dave Carpenter, a graphic artist, will be involved with the concept, layout, design and computer production of artwork for the adult and children's dinnerware product lines. Carpenter holds a degree in graphic design from SFCC.
Christine Sundquist also joins the art department as project coordinator and will act as liaison between licensors and Zak Designs. She previously worked for Rose Art Industries of Livingston, N.J., as product manager for its toy and doll lines.
Tom Pitman was hired as shipping coordinator for Zak Designs' warehouse division. He retired from the Air Force in 1984 but later served as a civilian military contractor.
Farm Credit Services has hired KayDee Catlin as marketing and sales coordinator. Catlin previously was membership and special project coordinator for the Idaho Cattle Association in Boise.
Indre Semogas was elected a director for District 3 of Kootenai Electric Cooperative. Semogas, who was serving as a director-at-large, is an independent consultant to businesses.
Ed Gossett was re-elected to the District 5 position on Kootenai Electric's board of directors.

Dr. Heddy Matthias opened a solo practice in internal medicine/ anesthesiology. She graduated from Tufts University and completed an internship at Albany Medical Center, a residency at Tufts and a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Robert Hawkins opened a solo practice in colon and rectal surgery. He graduated from the University of California-Los Angeles, completed an internship and residency at the University of Arizona and a fellowship at the University of Texas.
Barbara Swehosky, a licensed Realtor in Idaho for the past five years, has joined John Beutler & Associates as an associate.
Lorri Rose joined John Beutler & Associates as Barbara Swehosky's personal assistant. Rose is a licensed real estate agent and previously sold real estate in the Twin Lakes area.
MOVING UP:
Farm Credit Services announced the following changes:
Joan Haynes was named vice president of corporate administration. Her responsibilities include overall Farm Credit Services administration and management of the planning process. She has worked for Farm Credit Services since 1975.
Linda Hendricksen was named vice president of marketing and communications. Hendricksen joined Farm Credit in 1982 and has held various marketing, communications and public relations positions.
Kathy Payne was promoted to director of human resources. Payne joined Farm Credit Services in 1988 as a senior secretary for the Legal Services Department.
MOVING:
Drs. Ola Englund and Charles Regalado have opened a new dental office at 6817 N. Cedar, kitty-corner to the old office.
Ramm Associates Inc. relocated its land planning and development services offices to the old East Side Library Building at 25 S. Altamont.
Ethan Allen has moved its home furnishings center to 5511 E. Third Ave.
NEW IDENTITY:
The merger between Chemical Banking Corp. and The Chase Manhattan Corp. resulted in a name change for Chemical Financial Services Corp. The company, renamed Chase Financial Corp., has an office at 524 N. Mullan Rd., Suite 101.
ELECTED:
The YWCA board of directors for 1996 includes: Marsha DeFeyter, Mary Giannini, Paige George and Kathleen Smith. Newly elected officers are: president, Sally Pritchard; vice president, Elaine Edwards; vice president, Jolynn Rogers; secretary, Mary Ann Jurgensen; treasurer, Jan Romerdahl.
The Kootenai Medical Center Foundation has elected officers: Paul Anderson, re-elected as president; Ron Bremer, vice president; Cathy Kendrick, re-elected as board member and secretary; Rich Leichner, treasurer; Ellen Jaeger, and Denny Hague, board members.
Other foundation board members are Dave Chapman, Dr. Tim Quinn, Susan Jacklin and KMC Chief Executive Officer Joe Morris. Jim Faucher, KMC vice president for community development, serves as foundation director.

The Spokane Area Chamber of Commerce recently received two ACE Awards from the American Chamber of Commerce's Communications Council. The chamber received an Award of Excellence for the 1995 Young Entrepreneur Seminar (YES) poster "Be the Boss." The poster was designed by Jeff Camp; printed by Kent Chandler of Litho Art Printers; Michael Archer of the chamber was project director, and U.S. Bank of Washington was the major sponsor of the annual program. The chamber also received an Award of Merit for its 1995 Annual Meeting Video, which was produced by KXLY TV and the chamber's marketing committee. Stacy Baker, chamber marketing director, was the project director.
