TOON STAR RANSACKED
FIONA JAMESTWO burglars who ransacked the luxury apartment of a Premiership footballer have been jailed.
Thieving pals Troy Donohue, 25, and David Abrahams, 27, targeted exclusive homes in their quest for expensive goods - including the riverside flat of Newcastle United's Wayne Quinn.
The pounds 1million defender's 64-inch plasma television, DVD player, CDs and videos were among a haul taken between January 24 and 25. None of the property was recovered because the duo quickly sold the goods for cash.
The pair pleaded guilty at Newcastle crown court to 35 break-ins and 39 associated offences of deception, relating to stolen credit cards over a three-month period.
Abrahams was sentenced to five years. Donohue was given a six- year jail term. Judge Beatrice Bolton described it as a "massive operation".
