PIERS ON ANOTHER PLANET
SIMON BAKERTHE third Briton in space was yesterday still "stunned" hours after returning to Earth at the end of his 11-day mission.
"I feel physically tired, mentally a little tired. I'm stunned and still dazzled by the whole experience," said Piers Sellers, who became only the second Briton to complete a space walk during the NASA mission.
Piers, originally from Crowborough, East Sussex, and the five other astronauts on the space shuttle Atlantis landed at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The 47-year-old, now based in Houston, Texas, followed in the space steps of Britons Helen Sharman and Michael Foale.
His wife Mandy, 46, and son Tom, 14, watched the landing.
