Tamzin's rung the right bell
FIONA JAMESACTRESS Tamzin Outhwaite has signed a pounds 250,000 contract to be the new Avon lady.
The Ex-EastEnders star beat Tracy Shaw, Zoe Ball and Claire Sweeney to become the face of the company's colour cosmetics range.
As part of the year-long deal she will appear in adverts and follow in her mum's footsteps - an ex-Avon lady - by joining the UK sales team.
The Sunday Mirror revealed last month that Tamzin was in talks with the New York-based giant.
Last night Tamzin said: "I'm happy the cat's out of the bag. But you'll have to wait until next year to catch me in action. And I might be knocking on a door near you!"
An insider said: "Tamzin was the one for us. After all, her mum was an Avon lady. We're sure she'll be a great success."
Since leaving EastEnders last year Tamzin, who played barmaid Mel, has put her name to other products, including Debenham's latest fashion range.
