Gail Stevenson has been appointed managing director of the Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation. Stevenson, who had been working as the foundation's program coordinator since October, previously was marketing/fund development director for the Spokane Chamber Music Association; marketing coordinator for the law office of Paine, Hamblen, Coffin, Brooke and Miller; and a registered broker for Kidder, Peabody & Co.
BDO Seidman LLP has made the following staff changes:
Daniel Pavelich, managing director of the Spokane office, was elected chairman of the accounting and consulting firm. Pavelich, who has been with BDO Seidman's Spokane office for 27 years, is currently the presiding member of the firm's board of directors. He will succeed Gary Wetstein, who has been appointed chairman-elect of the BDO Policy Board, the governing body of BDO Binder.
Jeff Winkler was promoted to the position of partner at the Spokane office. Winkler, who joined the firm in 1987, has more than 11 years of public accounting experience. He has served as tax manager, business consultant and recruiting coordinator for the Spokane office.
Robert Ingram has been appointed president of Columbia Lighting. Ingram joined Columbia in 1988 as marketing manager and has held various managerial positions, including director of marketing, vice president of marketing and, most recently, executive vice president of operations.
RW Robideaux & Co. has promoted Rick Dickey to managing director of residential properties. Dickey, who has been with Robideaux since 1992, earlier was responsible for residential management of the Western Region of Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Co. and president and co-founder of Equinox Development Inc.
New Faces:
Spokane attorney Dan Cadagan III has been named chief executive officer of Engineering and Consulting Services Inc. Cadagan, a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law, also will be the CEO for LineSoft Inc. and will handle general counsel duties for both firms.
Dianne Kliphardt has been named head of the Inland Automobile Association (AAA) membership and insurance sales operation. She has 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, and most recently was a trainer for Professional Software Systems, an insurance software specialist in Coeur d'Alene.
Design Works Fine Interiors has announced the following staff changes:
Curtis Anderson, former owner of Expressions Custom Furniture, will manage and oversee the new furniture gallery at Design Works.
Shelby Gates Cutter, formerly with Showroom, joined the company's interior design team. Gates Cutter graduated from Eastern Washington University's School of Fine Arts.
Gregg Johnson, formerly with Nordstrom's Display Department for 10 years, joined the staff of Design Works.
Vince Pascal has been named a personal financial advisor with the Spokane office of American Express Financial Advisors Inc. Pascal, a career Army officer, previously was recruiting and marketing director for the Reserve Officer's Training Program at Gonzaga University.
Jim Erickson has been appointed manager of Mission Ridge, a new assisted living facility for independent seniors in the Spokane Valley. Erickson previously was director of human resource development for the Mountain Home, Idaho, Air Force Base Hospital.
Certifications:
Karen Jacoy, owner of Jacoys Travel Emporium, completed the requirements for Cruise Lines International Association's Cruise Counsellor Certification Program and is now an accredited cruise counselor.
Ed Morse has completed the requirements for the Appraisal Institute's MAI general membership designation. Morse has been an appraiser for 23 years in Coeur d'Alene.
Randy Buck, a certified private forester from Sandpoint, has completed training to act as a coordinated resource management facilitator.

Spokane Railway Credit Union (SRCU) received three Diamond Marketing Awards presented by the Credit Union National Association Marketing Council. The awards recognize the outstanding marketing achievements of credit unions worldwide. SRCU, in its first year of participation, earned two second place awards and one honorable mention.
Ross Printing Co. received a Gold Award for management excellence in the National Association of Photo Lithographers (NAPL) Management Plus Awards Program sponsored by NAPL.
Cunningham Studio of Quality Photography was awarded the 1995 Print of the Year by the Spokane Professional Photographers Association. The portrait of three rottweiler dogs at the dinner table was created at the home of a Cunningham client and was photographed by Al Berger, owner of the studio.
