YOUR SAY: Letter: Needled by users
P DoyleI KNOW this is probably pointless, but could I appeal to all intravenous drug users not to leave their used - and possibly infected - syringes lying about after they've had their fix.
I know it's probably the last thing on their minds but they should think about little children.
Kids can injure themselves on the needles - possibly infecting themselves with life-threatening aids or hepatitis, or injure someone else's youngster while playing doctors and nurses.
Think of it this way: If the Gardai find your needles they'll know where you, in common parlance, shoot-up. They'll watch that place and then they'll catch you.
Then you'll go to jail and the drugs you get there will be so pure they'll kill you.
