Whitaker hurt as Britain storm to second place
ANN MARTINSHOWJUMPING: Michael Whitaker needed hospital treatment for a head injury as Britain put up their best performance of the year in the final Nations Cup clash at Rotterdam, writes Ann Martin.
Michael Whitaker was thrown when Give Me Remus refused coming into the combination. He was taken to hospital and later discharged with bruising to his head.
Scott Smith (Cabri d'Elle), Mark Armstrong (Elise) and Di Lampard (Abbervail Dream) fought on and Britain finished three points behind France in second place.
