Your letters: Cashing in on babies
Paula Bennett, Maghull, LiverpoolI AM disgusted by the attitude of Lisa Carter, and others like her, who choose not to live with their children's fathers because it could reduce the benefits to which they are entitled.
The Government must do more to promote marriage and change policies which favour women such as Ms Carter, who at 29 has six children by four men and is better off financially as a single mother.
More help should be given to people who have genuine reasons for raising children singlehandedly - such as divorce, violence or the death of a partner - and less to those who are just "milking" the system, as Ms Carter appears to be.
