'BERRIES CELEBRATE NEW BABY

THE CRANBERRIES' drummer Fergal Lawler became a father for the second this week.

Fergal's wife Laurie gave birth on Tuesday to Nathan who weighed in at 7lbs 10oz.

"Mother and baby are both doing well," a pal of the band said.

The couple already have a two-year-old son, Jacob.

The Cranberries are currently on a bit of a hiatus after touring for much of 2002, but the Limerick foursome won't be lingering on the Emerald Isle much longer. They kick off a European tour in Paris next month.

The tour includes a date at Dublin's Point Theatre, on December 6 and concerts in Manchester, Glasgow and London's Apollo Hammersmith.

The band's two set CD compilation, Stars - Best Of 1992 - 2002, was released last week in the UK and Ireland and in the US on Tuesday
