First Baptist youths plan events to raise camp money

Linda Ball Correspondent

The youth of the First Baptist Church, Fifth and Wallace, are holding a car wash today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money for summer camp at Ross Point Baptist Church Camp in Post Falls. Everyone is invited to come and get a quality car wash for a donation.

They will repeat the car wash on May 8. On May 16, at 12:15 p.m. at the church, they will have a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser. The youth will do the service and cleanup and ask that guests donate for the meal what they would expect to pay at a restaurant.

For more information, call First Baptist at 667-5429.

Center of Light healing service

The Center of Light Church, 618 E. Wallace, is hosting a musical meditative healing service Wednesday at 7 p.m. The State of Change Musicians use flute, wind, piano and voice. Donations are welcome, but not required.

For more information, call 667-0462 or go to www.openinghearts.org.

Rummage sale Friday

They will have a huge selection of housewares, men's, women's and children's clothing, linens, books and furniture. Donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the church Tuesday through Thursday. Arrangements can be made to pick up larger items.

The CUMC women raise funds each year to send to various mission projects locally and worldwide, as well as help to support Camp Twinlow, on Lower Twin Lake. For more information, call the church at 765-8800.
