摘要：This study was an attempt to provide a brief synopsis of the literature of CDA; the sketch of which are seven parts: Critical Discourse Analysis: Theoretical Definitions; Major Approaches to CDA; Ideology; Language, Gender and Education; Textbooks; Sexism as well as Experimental Research on Gender in ELT Textbooks. Hence, a general definition and background knowledge of CDA was represented along with the major approaches as well as on the related issues closely related to this study, i.e. ideology, sexism and textbooks as well as Experimental Research on Gender in ELT Textbooks.
