摘要:The study explores through a Likert questionnaire, an episodic interview, and class observation, what teachers believe and do in their teaching practices. From a mixed study, we analyze the questionnaire answers of 81 biology teachers-in-service, 15 episodic interviews, and 9 biology classes. We found out that teachers’ beliefs take a constructivist perspective when they think about what must be done in their teaching practices. For these teachers, practices are thinking and action guidelines that pass through the disciplinary, didactic, and affective dimensions. Novice and experienced teachers value the use of questions in teaching, although few teaching actions challenge students to understand the reasons behind learning activities.
