摘要:Although the use of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) has become commonplace in many schools in Europe, only lately have language teachers and researchers started to do research on the effectiveness of this method in Japan. In spite of the explorations of educators, it is still difficult to use English to teach Japanese students. This paper describes a case study using CLIL in preparation for the third grade Eiken interview test with two Japanese junior high school students. This research found that the CLIL approach was effective in helping students improve their English communication skills with speaking and listening enough to pass the third grade Eiken Exam.
