摘要:We present results from an ongoing restructuring of the labs in physics for engineering students to a project-based methodology based on simple experiments with emphasis on the engineering perspective of physics. The students' response to course evaluations and observations in the laboratory hall form the basis of the analysis of their responses to the change. The students who understood the concept behind the shift appear to be positive, while examfocused students appear to consider the laboratory work as a waste of time. We discuss the problems arising from a student perspective, in an educational and teaching context. We analyse the role of harmonization with both the study and exam forms for achieving optimal results. We also discuss the assistants’ increased role in a project-based laboratory form, especially in mass education.
