摘要:This study aims to investigate the relationship between social support from physical education teachers and students’ achievement motivation in sports. The study is correlation and survey one. Sample is formed from 296 male and female students of senior high school in Anbarabad County. Two questionnaire was used to measure data: Interpersonal Behavior Scale of Pelletier et al. to measure social support from coach, and sport orientation questionnaire of Gill and Deteer to measure achievement motivation, which validity and reliability of both has been confirmed in Iran. The findings show that there is significant and positive relationship between social support from physical education teachers and students’ achievement motivation. Social support i.e. independence, competency, and relational support are also significant predictors to determine sport achievement motivation.
