摘要：Considering the degradation of many protected areas that are among the oldest in Europe, it was necessary to revaluate the overall state of nature and landscape protection in the Czech Republic. The conservation character of nature and landscape protection gradually changed to that of an active care. We can speak about the active care after the landscape from the mid-1990s as supported by the landscape forming programs of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. Financial means of the program Landscape protection are used in a rational way mainly for nature protection in the specially protected areas. These investments significantly contribute to the increase of biodiversity in these areas. The author also mentions some special cases of management interventions that are only a small part of those which are realized in large-scale protected areas and the especially protected small-scale areas.
