摘要：Folk architecture of Orava region in shape of wooden frame houses is very specific and important reflection of folk design. It is a result of intellect and thousand years of experience passed on from generation to generation. Our aim is to objectively analyze and subsequently value chosen wooden frame houses in the region of Dolná Orava. We concentrated on valuing accuracy of their presentation, originality and in keeping based on acceptance of characteristic components (broken gable, using of fleche, decoration of gable, completion of sustaining wall, staging of windows, using of suitable cladding) and unsuitable complementing of objects with negative and unoriginal components (chimney, hood and dormer-window).
