摘要:Flood risk assessment as part of the environmental risks in river basins is based on the current state of knowledge of the issues and the evaluation of historical flood events. Flood risk assessment is particularly desirable to reduce the risk of adverse effects of floods on human health and life, the environment, cultural heritage, economic activity and infrastructure. Achieved results presented in this paper may be part of the preliminary flood risk assessment carried out to provide an assessment of the potential risk of flooding. The assessment required by Directive 2007/60/EC on the assessment and management of flood risks, including among other things, at least a description of the significant floods which have occurred in the past, if there is a likelihood of similar future events is still relevant, including their flood extent and an assessment of the adverse impacts they have entailed. This paper presents the preliminary flood risk assessment in the Hornád river basin, which has been worked out based on an assessment of flood situations in the past, namely by evaluation of water levels in water stream in selected river stations in Hornád river.
