摘要：The recent political changes in the Czech Republic have led to a major re-evaluation of the role of the countryside. An extensive Village Restoration Programme is still underway, which is here described. The holistic nature of the programme is notable. New social and economical situation after the Czech Republic´s accession to European Union along with impact of globalisation trends affect current rural landscape and village development. The new principles of village restoration and development are described in this article.
