摘要：The research object Poľana–Hukavský grúň was established in 1991 in the Poľana Mts. by the Forest Research Insti- tute. Ecological, ecophysiological, silvicultural and forestry research has been carrying out on 8 permanent research plots with diffrent tree species composition and stand structure. The core part of the research object is the Plot 0 with the most detailed ecological research and monitoring. The permanent monitoring plot is included in long-term program of intensive monitoring of forest ecosystems in Europe (ICP Forests) and Partial monitoring system Forests (in the framework of environmental monitoring in the Slovak Republic). This paper presents overview of research and main results of long-term monitoring.
