摘要:The article aims to present the main characteristics of ECLAC’s structuralist developmentalism during its first years. According to Furtado, this was the ‘creative age’ of ECLAC. The purpose of the paper is to show the confluence between the original ideas of ECLAC and how they were associated with developmentalism in Latin America and, especially, in Brazil. In order to achieve such a goal, we present the context of developmental ideas and propositions. We show also how ECLAC was an important mechanism of systematization of those ideas. Additionally, we detail three key ECLAC theses, considering that they supported pro-industrialization arguments during the hegemony of developmentalism.
