摘要：The purpose of the article is to analyse one of Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro’s official pronouncements on the covid-19, according to Michel Foucault’s perspectives on speech. From then on, the presidential speech will be analysed in interface with the considerations of Hannah Arendt and other authors on politics and public and private spaces, recognizing how much their pronouncement is at odds with the authors’ proposal on the issues raised. In Bolsonaro’s pronouncement, there is evidences of anti-political signs, in addition to the rise of private perspectives at the expense of political action.
