摘要:The purpose of this study was to understand how gender-related changes in teaching in the Accounting Sciences courses of the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the Recôncavo Baiano from 2007 to 2017 were perceived. Ten interviews were conducted with representatives of three HEIs to understand various elements of teacher-related analysis and changes in the academic setting. The information was analyzed through the technique of content analysis. Among the findings, it was observed that the changes in HEI directly influenced the perception, receptivity, employability and the valorization of women as teachers. This change was also perceived as a natural process of insertion of women in the labor market, given the search for professional qualification. However, men still predominate mainly in managerial positions, and therefore future studies are necessary to understand other specificities of these changes and thus encourage the increase of women in teaching.
