摘要：The article considers the methodology of developing a system of forecasting documents as a basis for strategic planning,displays the experience of the EU in the formation of distant-term forecasting «Vision-2050». It has been found that long-term forecasting of socio-economic development on the basis of the Forsythe methods is the basic document that defines the country's development model,establishes long-term strategic goals and priorities,as well as becomes a base for developing an integrated and coherent system of documents for strategic planning. Therefore,methodology of forecasting,as well as the experience of the EU in the distant- and long-term forecasting of socio-economic development is important for its application in the practice of the State regulation of the economy of Ukraine.
