标题：CULTURAL SPACE VERSUS CULTURAL LANDSCAPE ON THE UNESCO LISTS

摘要：In the face of globalization and the changes that result from progress of civilization,a great amount of objects of intangible cultural heritage became subjected to oblivion and extinction. UNESCO noticed that "cultural space” was one of the forms which could be ndangered by such processes. And for that reason,the organization put 12 entries – defined as "cultural space” – from 12 countries and 5 cultural circles on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (on the basis of UNESCO Convention from 2003,concerning safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage). Apart from the list mentioned above,there is also UNESCO World Heritage List (on the basis of UNESCO Convention from 1972,referring to safeguarding of world cultural and natural heritage) which includes a number of entries named "cultural landscape”. The work includes analyses and comparisons of several examples of cultural spaces and cultural landscapes which are placed on the UNESCO Lists. Distinctive features of the spaces are presented and criteria of the entries are considered as well. Additionally,some samples of soundscapes are mentioned and discussed as they can be treated as a category integrating cultural spaces with cultural landscapes.
