标题：Violence in the Novel "Atas Singgasana" by Abidah El Khalieqy

摘要：This study aimed to 1) describe forms of physical violence and 2) sexual violence contained in the novel Atas Singgasana. The most common violence found was sexual violence, namely 20 quotes, while physical violence was 4 quotes. The source of data in this research was the novel Atas Singgasana by Abidah El Khalieqy. The results of the analysis shown there was violence committed by male characters to female figures, both physical and sexual violence. Sexual violence in the form of actions such as speaking harshly, cursing, groping, kissing, hugging, and doing other things the victim did not want. Physical violence took the form of beatings, namely kicking, pulling and slapping.
