摘要:The article aims to investigate whether the disciplines of racial ethnic education and Afro-Brazilian history and culture, inserted in the Pedagogy courses of two IES located in the Northwest of Minas Gerais, contribute for the future teachers construction of the necessary knowledge for a anti-racist pedagogy practice. The research was carried out in a qualitative modality. The researchers interviewed 74 students from the 8th period of Pedagogy courses. The data collected in the field signalize an advance in the application of Laws 10.639 / 03 -11.645 / 08, however, they show the need for continuities in educational projects so that the anti-racist mentality is internalized in the local society.
