摘要：Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a criminalidade violenta na região norte do Brasil, bem como compreender o porquê, na região sudeste, o estado de São Paulo tem o menor índice de criminalidade. Para atingir os objetivos propostos, realizou-se pesquisa descritiva e bibliográfica utilizando-se dados estatísticos de várias bases. Entre elas, destaca-se o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística, Atlas da Violência, Fórum Brasileiro de Segurança Pública. Os achados indicam que a região norte do Brasil é uma das mais violentas atualmente e revelam que o fortalecimento dos operadores e gestores dos órgãos de segurança pública, educação de qualidade, emprego e renda podem contribuir para a diminuição dos crimes.
其他摘要：This study aimed to analyze violent criminality in northern Brazil, as well as to understand why, in the southeast region, the state of São Paulo has the lowest crime rate. To achieve the objectives of this research, a descriptive and bibliographic research was carried out, in which statistical data from several databases were used, among which stands out the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, Atlas of Violence, Brazilian Forum on Public Security. The results indicate that the Northern region of Brazil is currently one of the most violent regions and reveal that the strengthening of operators and managers of public security agencies, quality education, employment and income can contribute to the reduction of crime.
