摘要:The current educational context and the world of work require Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to train professionals with skills that transcend technicality. Therefore, it is necessary to employ teaching-learning methodologies that enable the active performance of students, so that they become individuals with analytical, critical and reflective skills, as well as citizens committed to society. Given this, the objective of the article is to investigate the use of active teaching-learning methodologies in the disciplines that make up the Management Accounting area of ??the Accounting Sciences Course at UNESC. The study is descriptive, quantitative and qualitative, carried out through survey research. The results show that the profile of the investigated teachers is that of a specialist teacher, who has professional activities in addition to teaching, predominantly male and seeks continuous training in his area of ??expertise. Teachers indicate that they diversify teaching-learning methodologies, promote teamwork and students' autonomy, using their previous knowledge. However, it was found that traditional methodologies are still the main strategies used in teaching management accounting.
