摘要：Introdução: A Síndrome de Burnout ocorre em virtude da exposição a duradouros graus de estresse no trabalho, sendo definida por três dimensões sintomatológicas:exaustão emocional, despersonalização e diminuição da realização profissional. A equipe de enfermagem enfrenta diariamente a dor e o sofrimento alheio associados a condições inadequadas de trabalho, que favorece a manifestação da doença. Objetivo: Ampliar o conhecimento acerca do tema. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica narrativa realizada nas bases de dados da BVS, seguindo critérios metodológicos determinados.Resultados: Os profissionais de enfermagem são talvez os mais propensos ao Burnout, desde o início da carreira e durante a vida no exercício profissional. Conclusão: Torna-se viável que estudos mais aprofundados sejam feitos, bem como sua divulgação aos profissionais, que na grande maioria desconhecem a síndrome e sua sintomatologia, negligenciando o tratamento. BURNOUT SYNDROME Introduction: Burnout syndrome occurs due to exposure to long-lasting stress at work, and is defined by three symptomatological dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and decreased professional achievement. The nursing team faces daily the pain and suffering of others associated with inadequate work conditions, which favors the manifestation of the disease. Objective: Expand knowledge about the topic. Methodology: This is a narrative bibliographic review carried out in the VHL databases, following predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results:Nursing professionals are perhaps themos tlikely to burnout, from the beginning of their careers and during their professional life. Conclusion: It becomes feasible that more in-depth studies bed one, as well as its dissemination to professionals, who in the great majority are unaware of the syndrome and its symptomatology neglecting the search for treatment.
