标题：The I ncidence of Professional Burnout Among Canadian SpeechLanguage Pathologists

摘要：Canadian speech-language pathologists who are members of the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) were surveyed to determine the frequency and severity of professional burnout and related factors. Of two hundred thirty questionaires completed, a 72% return, 76% (N=175) revealed the SLPs were experiencing wither a mild or moderate degree of burnout. Five factors were significantly related to burnout (p<.05): gender, caseload size, effect on personal life, job satisfaction, and job effectiveness. Most respondants indicated they were managing burnout by confronting its possible sources in the work place.
