This paper aims to reflect on and release the results of an investigation that tried to identify the presence of assessment as a topic of discussion presented on posters and works available on ANPEd`s web page during the period from 2000 to 2010. It focused on the space taken by assessment in the WGs (working groups) that organize the annual meetings. The results of this qualitative study indicated that this topic represents less that 3% of the amount of works and that their main origin is research. Most of the authors have just one paper on this topic on the analyzed proceedings. It was also possible to identify a small number of authors continuously producing on this topic and a majority of productions from southeastern institutions.
