摘要:Bilingual and bicultural education are important issues in New Zealand. This paper describes how one school established programmes to cater for Maori children. The development is seen through the eyes of a Canadian educator with extensive experience in schooling for indigenous people, and raises issues that need to be considered when developing programmes. It also comments on the underpinnings of the curriculum and how success might be assessed.
