摘要:The forensic examination can be an arduous task for the criminal expert with an emphasis on a crime scene.Identification of these traces oftentimes includes the presence of blood. The purpose of this study is test the chemiluminescence of Bluestar® in the identification of blood stains in cotton cloth after the surfaces have been washed in different periods of time and with different washing products by an automatic washing machine.Seven samples were prepared and 2 ml of blood was dispensed in each of them: one control group, which was not washed, and three pairs, divided according to the following cycles: cotton, ecological washing and daily washing. In each pair, one substrate was washed with water and washing powder, the other was washed with water, washing powder and non-chlorine powder bleach. The groups were still divided according to the number of times they were washed in the washing machine: those that were washed only once (t1) and those that had two washes, in which, in addition to the first, they had a second wash after 60 days of the first (t2).It is concluded that Bluestar® showed chemiluminescence in cotton cloths stained with blood in t1.However, in t2, in groups that had and those who did not have a second wash, Bluestar® showed little chemiluminescence, could be mistaken for false positive, or did not present a chemiluminescent reaction, as in the groups where non-chlorine powder bleach was used.
