摘要:Orangtua memiliki bagian untuk membantu anak mencapai hasil belajar yang lebih baik dengan memberikan kasih sayang dan pendidikan melalui nilai-nilai kehidupan, baik nilai agama maupun nilai budaya sosial. Salah satu bentuk peran orang tua memberi perhatian pada anak mereka. Perhatian besar orang tua, anak akan memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar berperan penting dalam proses pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) perhatian orang tua terhadap latar belakang budaya Melayu; (2) perhatian orang tua latar belakang budaya Jawa; (3) motivasi belajar siswa dalam latar belakang budaya Melayu; (4) motivasi belajar siswa dalam latar belakang budaya Jawa; dan (5) meneliti perbedaan perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar antar siswa yang berpendidikan bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Jawa. Ini adalah penelitian komparatif deskriptif yang menerapkan metode kuantitatif. Dengan rumus Slovin dengan teknik simple random sampling, 200 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel di SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar pada Tahun Akademik 2015/2016. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan MANOVA (analisis multivariat varians). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perhatian orang tua terhadap latar belakang budaya Melayu masuk dalam kategori baik; (2) Orang tua memperhatikan latar belakang budaya Jawa berada dalam kategori baik; (3) Motivasi belajar siswa dengan latar belakang budaya Melayu termasuk dalam kategori tinggi; (4) Motivasi belajar siswa dengan latar belakang budaya Jawa termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi; dan (5) Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara orang tua dengan latar belakang budaya Melayu dan Jawa, sementara ada perbedaan motivasi belajar yang signifikan. 其他摘要:Parents have part to help children achieving better learning outcomes by providing affection and education through the values of life, both in religious values and social culture values. One form of the parents’ roles are giving attention to their children. Children who get big attention from their parents, will have high motivation in learning. The parents attention and learning motivation have important role in the learning process of students. This research was intended to describe: (1) the attention of parents Malaynese cultural backgrounds; (2) the attention of parents Javanese cultural backgrounds; (3) the students’ learning motivation in Malaynese cultural backgrounds; (4) the students’ learning motivation in Javanese cultural backgrounds; and (5) examined differences in parents attention and learning motivation among students who Malaynese cultural backgrounds and Javanese. This was a descriptive comparative research which applied quantitative method. By Slovin formula followed by simple random sampling technique, 200 students were choosen as the sample at SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar in Academic Year 2015/2016. The data gathered were analyzed by using descriptive statistic and MANOVA (multivariate analysis of variance). The result of the research indicated that: (1) parents attention with Malaynese cultural backgrounds are in good category; (2) parents attention with Javanese cultural backgrounds are in good category; (3) The students’ learning motivation with Malaynese cultural backgrounds are in the high category; (4) The students’ learning motivation with Javanese cultural backgrounds are are in very high category; and (5) There is no significance different attention of parents between with Malaynese and Javanese cultural backgrounds, while there are siginificant differences in learning motivation.
