摘要:Fibro-osseous pseudotumor of the digits (FOPD) is an uncommon (annual incidence is less than 1 per 1 million individuals) variably painful edematous swellingof the proximal phalangalarea of the fingers. Itmore often involves the index finger, less commonly middle finger, and rarely the toes. FOPD usually occurs in young adults (agc rangecs 10-64 years, median age 40 years),with a femalc predominance. (1 2) The duration of these lesions was radiologically cstimated to range from 2 to 6 weeks.(1)A history of trauma can be elicited in approximately 40% of patients.(3- 8) Signs include a fimm mass that does notimpair function. There is a heterotopic ossification of the subcutis of the digits. This mass should be differentiated from myositis ossificans,Turret exostosis, and ex traskeletal osteosarcoma. Simple cxcision is diagnostic and curative.
