  • 摘要:The aim of this study is, to discover the effect of consumer consciousness regarding the environment on the willingness to pay more for eco labeled or organic products in Adana region. Additionally, the study aims to reveal the differences among the demographics of the participants with regards to the environment consciousness and willingness to pay more for eco-labeled products. Convenient sampling and face to face survey methods been applied in order to gather the data and 428 valid surveys have been collected and were analyzed with SPSS program. The results show that the environmental consciousness of the consumers affects the purchasing behavior for eco-labeled and organic products. When the environmental consciousness of the consumers rises, they are more willing to pay for eco-labeled and organic products. There was no significant difference between the male and female consumers however the level of environmental consciousness of the single consumers were relatively higher than the married consumers.
