摘要：In recent years, human capital is an important factor in developing countries. Because health expenditures, which are one of the basic components of human capital, are effective in economic growth. Today, the rapidly growing economies of BRICS countries, which are among the developing countries with their economic development, attract attention. This study is examined data from the 1995-2014 period, using their remarkable economic and social development that takes place in these countries including Turkey determinants of health expenditure in BRICS-T group. In this study, the determinants of the health expenditures of the countries are analyzed with the Panel Vector Autoregressive (VAR) method. According to the results of Panel VAR analysis using Panel System GMM approach, it has been concluded that total health expenditures in the year determined according to the results of Panel VAR analysis negatively and significantly affect the aging population and female mortality rates, while the male death rate and gross domestic product affect positively and significantly. According to the results of Granger causality test, there is a bi-direction relation between dependent variable and other variables.
