摘要:Actual trends of world tourism long for areas of authentic or minimally changed environment. Destinations of undisturbed environment of rural areas where gastronomic specialties can be valorized well are the chance of Serbia on the choosy market. Food has become significant factor of people's identity since it represents wealth and heritage of a country. Every country has its own characteristics which make it to be different and typical, and tourism is based on such diversity. The paper puts together the following developmental aspects: cultural tourism (relating to the participation of a tourist in any kind of cultural manifestation - e.g. participating in production of certain local specialties made of autochthonous row materials grown organically), rural tourism (as a form of cultural tourism) and rural ecotourism, through gastronomy. Ways of affirming and promoting the component of gastronomic offer of rural tourism as form to emphasize tradition have also been suggested, making additional value to tourist product.
