摘要:This study aimed to determine: (1) the effectiveness of STAD cooperative learning, (2) the effectiveness of TAI cooperative learning, and (3) the difference between the effectiveness of STAD cooperative learning and TAI cooperative learning in terms of the activities and mathematics learning achievement of fourth grade students of elementary schools. This is a quasi-experimental study. The study population was all fourth grade students of Muhammadiyah 3 Elementary School Kleco Yogyakarta with three parallel classes. Two classes were randomly assigned as samples of the three existing classes. The results are as follows. (1) The STAD cooperative learning is effective. (2) The cooperative learning of TAI type is effective. (3) There is no difference in the effectiveness between STAD cooperative learning and TAI cooperative learning in terms of the activities and achievement in mathematics of the fourth grade students of elementary schools.
