摘要：The purposeof this research was to determine the potential for sport talentin students of State Elementary School 01 Karangdowo, Sub-district Weleri, Kendal Regency. The test survey research methods. The method usedin this research is descriptive quantitative analysis method, the student population in the State Elementary School 01 Karangdowo, Sub-district Weleri, Kendal Regency totaling 70 children. The research instrument using the "sport search". The methodof data analysis usesanalytical techniques"Descriptive Percentage". The results showthe potential ofthe students inState Elementary School 01 Karangdowo, Sub-district Weleri, Kendal Regencyin gymnastics talentusing the“sportsearch” is 12 students or (30%) men and 10 studentsor (33.3%) women had gymnastics talent. Based on the results of the research suggestedan activerole of the government, teachers, coaches, orall who are involvedin educationpay attentionand try to distribute potential and talent possessed by the students, and to providetraining for primary school age child renso that there is the potential that can be developed through extracurricularor clubexisting sports.
