摘要：Sports tourism is the fastest growing segment of the tourism industry with annual expenditu resreaching $3.4 billion. But in Indonesia, it is still rare attention from the government and even the public about the importance of sports activities in the tourism sector. The purpose of this research was to determine the effects of sport tourism program "Borobudur InterHash 2012" to increase the tourists visiting number t othe tourism destination Magelang Regency. The data taken is the primary data on the tourists visiting number from the Department of Tourism and Culture Magelang Regency and two secondary data, questionnaire were given to 30 foreign tourists and domestic tourists as well as interviews. Analysis using Percentage. The increase occurred at the Borobudur Temple to 35,97%, Mendut reached 94,64%, and Ketep Pass 37,04%. This was confirmed by a questionnaire which showed that tourist arrivals to Indonesia because it has cultural motivation and Magelang Regency is one of the regencies that have the greatest cultural heritage. In addition, traders and community of tour guide said that there was an increase in visitors after the event took place.
