摘要：In the statistical macroeconomic research we use typical quantitive methods. This is determined by the fact that a formal approach is a typical approach used in research based on statistical procedures, when we want make comparisons between groups. In the statistical macroeconomic research about the economic phenomenas in a society, important is also used other research methods from the social sciences. In this study, we confirm that the grounded theory can be considered as a complementary method for quantitative methods in research about an aging population and a study of the productivity of work. Supplementing statistical macroeconomic research can also be implemented with use of interpretative and symbolic paradigm which giving an opportunity to observe the interdependence of social, while maintaining the orientation on values.
