摘要:It is very important to lay foundations of national and cultural concept acquisition with Turkish textbooks. The aim of the study is to determine the status of textbooks according to themes and types of writing in national and cultural concepts in Turkish textbooks used in 3rd and 4th grade in 2018-2019. Qualitative method was used, data were collected by document analysis, analyzed by descriptive analysis. In conclusion some concepts (“religious and national festivals” , “historical artifacts” , “silas/migration” ) were not included in the 3rd grade Turkish textbook. Additionally, “historical personalities” , “places”, “human relations” , “family” were the most; “Turkish” , “Turkish national anthem” , “traditions” , “traditional sports” were the least place. For 4th grade, “human relations” , “historical figures”, “our cities” and “traditions” were the most; “national festivals” , “religious festivals” , “silas/migration” , “foundation culture” were least given. The concepts examined in both grades were not distributed evenly according types of writing and themes.
