摘要:In the process of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the main instrument in the process of developing students' reading comprehension skills is texts. In this study, a Likert-type scale was developed to determine the attitudes of learners who learned Turkish as a foreign language towards texts in Turkish. The study was initiated with a pool of 90-items developed by the researchers; afterwards, in the light of the opinions obtained from 5 experts, a 44-item scale was drafted as a result of the conducted content analysis, using Lawshe analysis, and was administered to 192 learners who were learning Turkish as a foreign language at B2 and higher levels. Through exploratory factor analysis, it was determined that the items clustered under 4factors, that this accounted for approximately 48.54% of the total variance, and that there were significant correlations among the factors. Item-total and item-rest correlations were found to be significant and discriminatory. At the end of the study, the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was found to be ,799 for the entire scale. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient for the first factor was ,827; for the second factor, it was ,807; for the third factor, it was ,59; and for the fourth factor, it was ,730; its variance among the factors ranged between α = ,659 and ,827. The SpearmanBrown coefficient of the scale was ,853; The Guttman Split-Half coefficient was ,849, and the correlation coefficient between the two forms was ,744.
