摘要:The aim of this research is to determine the prospective primary school teachers’ opinions on the usage of manuscript handwriting and cursive handwriting. In this study, phenomenology method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The participants of the research were prospective primary school teachers (15 males, 15 females) who attended the Primary Education Department of the Department of Elementary Education at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Education in the 2016-2017 academic year. Criterion sampling, which is one of the purposeful sampling types, was used in this research. The data of the study were obtained through the semi-structured, non-directive interview technique. NVivo qualitative data analysis program was used for the modeling of the research data. The results of the analysis of the findings indicated the participants’ opinions on the usage of manuscript handwriting were more positive than their opinions on the usage of cursive handwriting.
